Scientific Interests

I'm interested in mathematics and its applications in computer science, especially:

  • Operations Research
  • Argumentation Theory
  • Decision Theory
  • Ontologies and Description Logics
  • Non-monotonic Logic especially Abductive Logic

I'm also interested in mathematical methods in Enterprise Resource Planning especially using SAP's InMemory technology.

In the past I worked on XML streaming techniques. My current interest is Decison Theory and I talked about this topic at 7th International KES Conference on Intelligent Decision Technologies KES-IDT-15: It's a joint paper that was be published here:

 

At the moment I'm working on root cause analysis of results of complex rule systems in process automation. 

I'm member of GI e.V. and GOR e.V..
